ASA Applied Arkergistics
Applied Arkergistics is an ARK: Survival Ascended storage and crafting network mod inspired by AE2-style digital storage systems.
The mod goal is to let players build a physical storage network made from terminals, server racks, removable storage servers, wireless access infrastructure, and machine interfaces. The system should feel like rugged ARK survival technology rather than clean spaceship hardware.
Core Fantasy
Build a base-wide storage and crafting network:
- Store items in server racks instead of normal boxes.
- Access storage through a crafting terminal.
- Use a handheld terminal while inside wireless coverage.
- Link crafting machines into the network.
- Request crafts that pull ingredients from storage, craft in the correct machine, then return results to storage.
- Extend player access with wireless bridge towers.
- Extend actual remote machine/storage membership with a powered remote network gateway.
Current Planning State
This repo currently contains:
- Approved concept art under
assets/concept-art/approved/ - Design and architecture docs under
docs/ - Late-game Resonance Core infrastructure concepts, including bridge towers, remote gateways, and generators
The ASA DevKit implementation has not started yet.
First Playable Target
Version 0.1 should be deliberately small:
- Placeable Master Crafting Terminal
- Placeable Storage Rack
- Insertable Storage Server item
- Rack has 8 server bays
- Terminal can discover nearby racks
- Terminal can show aggregated items
- Terminal can deposit and withdraw items
Autocrafting, handheld terminals, wireless towers, and remote gateways come later.
